


Dykstra Laboratories, Inc. is a research and
development laboratory begun in 1997 and located in
Gainesville, Florida, USA. Our laboratory is most
interested in researching the effects of
electromagnetics on life. Although all aspects of
electromagnetics and life are reviewed, active research
deals almost exclusively with insects. Our test animals
include the Indianmeal moth, Plodia interpunctella, the
raisin moth, Cadra figulilella, and the rice moth,
Corcyra cephalonica.
Evidence exists which suggests that insect olfaction
may be mediated by electromagnetic waves derived
from odorant molecules. The first written accounts of
this theory come from G.M. Dyson in 1937 and 1938.
Robert Wright expanded this theory with his scientific
writings and researched both insects and humans.
Philip Callahan offered a mechanism by which the
insects could detect these frequencies. This laboratory
is devoted to furthering research begun by these two
scientists and developing these ideas so as to produce
an insect trap based on electromagnetic theory.
